OUR SERVICE AREA
Serving 13 counties in Georgia and one county in Alabama, our service area covers 5,000 square miles and a population of 437,000 of which approximately 87,000 people are considered food insecure*; 35,000 of which are under the age of 18.
Food insecurity is defined as not having reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.Feeding the Valley is a member of the Georgia Food Bank Association, and also a member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks and our nation’s leading hunger-relief organization.We are also a community partner of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley in Columbus, Ga.
