Hunger is a problem. A problem for everyone. It impacts communities. And it is up to all of us to face the challenge and take a bold stance to solve it.
In the fall of 2019, we expanded our services into these four southwest Georgia counties – some of which have the highest food insecurity rate in the state. We leased a vacant grocery store and established our temporary home to begin this journey.
Food Insecurity, We have a lot of work to do.
More Space Is Needed.
Although our temporary facility has some cold and frozen storage, it is not adequate for our services.
Our Capital Campaign for $4 Million Making Albany Our Home!
Our new warehouse, located at 1706 Ledo Road in Albany has ample space, and will have generous freezer, and cooler capacity to grow and enhance our food distribution programs to reach more food insecure families and to become more involved in community outreach.
Your financial support is needed to help us fund our new facility in Albany to better serve Dougherty, Calhoun, Lee, and Terrell counties. Hunger is a solvable problem and this facility will allow us to serve more people in need. Together, let’s fill this building with food, with volunteers, with determination, and hope to meet the needs of the greater Albany community.
